Great Lakes Passenger ListsPart of the Michigan Family History Network |
These are the start of the manifests that are available on film. These are from the group of films put out by the National Archives Records Administration titled St. Alban's Border Crossings. Ships coming into the Great Lakes at the mouth of the St. Lawrence are on these films.
Volunteer!
The lists are not hard to do and none are all that large compared to the ships that arrived in New York. If you can transcribe a manifest or two please get in touch with the webmaster for more information. All rights to the list belongs to the transcriber and is under their copyright.
I am sorry I can not provide copies of the manifests in paper format at this time for transcribers. The cost for paper copies for one manifest is as much as renting the whole film
through LDS for one month at times. If anyone has suggestions as to how to help people get a copy of one manifest to transcribe I am open to suggestions.
