Woodworth was one of the early members of the 328th, he was originally a member of Headquarters Company and received the rank of Sergeant shortly after his entrance into the army. Serving as Supply Sergeant while at Custer and during our first few months in France.
We were fortunate in getting him as a comrade when he adopted Battery B while we were at Les Forges. Acting in the capacity of a Duty Sergeant he was well liked by the boys.
